Overview:

At IFA 2012 Toshiba officially announced it was expanding its Satellite product family with a quite unusual mobile device code-named U925t. The novelty called by the Japanese vendor a transformer-like ultrabook, marries the best features of a laptop and a tablet computer, and comes with a 12.5-inch touch-screen, that can be slid out to the keyboard. That LED backlit IPS-supporting display featuring 300-nit brightness and 1,366 x 768 resolution is made of Gorilla Glass, which, being tough and scratch resistant, is designed to protect the device in everyday use.

Turning to the design, to use the Toshiba Satellite U925t in a regular-notebook mode, you can push the screen up to reveal a rather spacious built-in keyboard and then tilt it further upwards – now  the device looks like a standard ultraportable. The Satellite U925t’s keyboard features backlighting, which is impressively bright, and a touchpad that supports Windows 8 gestures.
